Maybe you didn’t Fringe hard enough in August. Maybe you didn’t Fringe at all. Maybe you’re straight-up new to Fringe. But whatever your relationship with the Capital Fringe Festival, you can, beginning today, indulge in a brief reprisal of 11 popular shows from the fest’s June slate. It’s not quite the summertime’s menagerie of independent theater—and there probably won’t be cheap prosecco on tap—but you can catch performances that sold out, or perhaps just slipped by in your rush to make use of that 10-show pass. There’s fare for all ages and preferences here: Foggerty’s Fairy is a steampunkesque tale of erasing memories; Hugo Ball: A Super Spectacular Dada Adventure is a puppet show biography of the off-the-wall art movement’s founder; and Squirrel, or The Origin of a Species is a “psychosocial thought experiment” in which a rodent and Charles Darwin organize life forms. The best part? Cooler temperatures mean you’ll be able to make it through a performance without suffering heat stroke.
