So many marketing campaigns malign March. There’s Washington Post’s Beer Madness! The Washington Business Journal’s Social Madness! And at the Kennedy Center, there’s always Shear Madness! But what if, when it comes to March Madness, you just want to talk about basketball? Then attend Sixth & I’s second annual college-hoops gabfest, Bracketology 101. Dan Steinberg, curator of the Post’s DC Sports Bog, and Ben Standig, Comcast SportsNet contributor, will be on hand to take your questions. How far will the Hoyas go? Could Davidson again play Cinderella? And are you sure Iona is a school with a basketball team, not an island off the coast of Scotland? Take some notes and the staff at the Sixth & I will pass out brackets. The $10 admission fee includes a drink and an entry in the synagogue’s pool. Prizes include courtside seats for a Wizards-Heat game. And though officially the event is part of Sixth & I’s “Men’s Room” series, men, women, and gentiles are welcome.
The event begins at 7:30 p.m. at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue, 600 I St. NW. $10. (202) 408-3100. sixthandi.org.
