From a purely heavy-metal-event perspective, there would be buzz around any lineup combining Richmond groove-beasts of Lamb of God, the metalcore stalwarts of Killswitch Engage, the thrash legends of Testament, and the female-fronted neo-classicists of Huntress. But Lamb of God is also clawing its way back from a forced hiatus stemming from singer Randy Blythe’s legal case in the Czech Republic, where he was cleared earlier this year of criminal wrongdoing in the 2012 death of a stage-diver. By the time the band gets to Silver Spring in November, it will have been touring for a couple of months. May the thunder chops be as loud as ever.
