This week, explore the anti-abortion movement without having to deal with Values Voter Summit crazies. For two nights, Mom Baby God plays a theatrical game of devil’s advocate. The play, written by Madeline Burrows, probes the mindsets of the people campaigning to limit women’s reproductive rights. Burrows isn’t a Lila Rose wannabe campaigning to turn back the clock; she was inspired to create the play after watching congressmen fight to defund Planned Parenthood. She joined the right-wing movement for a year, attending rallies and interviewing activists, and turned her findings into a new interactive theater experience. Attendees will receive nametags upon arrival, and for the next two hours, they can pretend to be right there fightin’ the fight alongside the Duggars and Rick Santorum. Fortunately, the insanity is only temporary. The play runs Oct. 21 to Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the DC Arts Center, 2438 18th St. NW. $10–$20. (202) 462-7833. dcartscenter.org.
