Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump: two men from the outer boroughs with presidential ambitions, exaggerated accents, and punchline-worthy hair. That two comedians should take their impressions of the Democratic Socialist and the Republican Capitalist on the road as the 2016 campaign season heats up should come as no surprise. (Can you even imagine how many terrible Trump impressions are happening in comedy clubs around the world right now?) What sets the Trump vs. Bernie Comedy Debate Tour apart is the comedians involved. James Adomian, best known for his appearances on the Comedy Bang Bang podcast, and Upright Citizens Brigade vet Anthony Atamanuik nail Sanders and Trump, respectively. Adomian, a master of impressions, gesticulates wildly as he makes many mentions of the top 10 percent of the top one percent (and so on), while Atamanuik becomes almost too Trump-like with a pitch-perfect voice and orange makeup. If the actual 2016 race is making you cry, let these two comedians make you laugh through the pain. Anthony Atamanuik and James Adomian perform at 8 p.m. at Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse, 2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington. $20. (703) 486-2345. arlingtondrafthouse.com.
