The conventions are over and the candidates are on the campaign trail. Now watch as everything turns political as we gallop towards November—including cocktails. Carlie Steiner of Stir Bartending Co. is so revved up about Hillary Clinton’s candidacy that she’s designed a menu of politically punned cocktails including the “Tim Rickey” made with “real Kaine sugar,” “That Pantsuit is Making Me Feel Dirty Martini,” and “Roe V Lemonade.”

She’ll serve them Thursday night at her weekly gig, “Variations on a Theme,” in Petworth Citizen’s Reading Room from 7 p.m to midnight. The theme this week is “I’m With Her,” and 15 percent of all drink proceeds will to Clinton’s campaign. “A vote for anyone else besides Hillary is essentially a vote for Donald Trump,” Steiner says, even though she typically votes for libertarian candidates. “I’ve been struggling with the fact that he could be running our free world, and I’m not okay with that at all.” She continues, “I think Hillary has been great with education, supportive of my right to marry, and she doesn’t hate Muslims.”

Steiner says she’s putting on fundraiser to get millennials involved. “We don’t have enough money to donate $500, so this is my way of organizing something where people can not only have fun, drink, and make fun of the satirical jokes, but also donate a portion to the campaign.”

Cocktails range from $13 to $14, but for those looking for something more simple there’s, “You’re Firedball” shots or “Huuuuuuge Picklebacks” featuring whiskey and “Donald Trump’s tears,” both for $6.
