A total of 1,900 parking tickets were handed out in the 1000 block of Thomas Jefferson Street NW from January to May of this year, making it the most ticketed block in the city, according city government data. That block just happens to be in front of buzzy, pot-punned cafe, Baked & Wired, home of cupcakes, coffee, and addictive “Hippie Crack” granola.
