The Nationals postponed their Saturday game because of rain, but that didn’t stop the third annual All Things Go Fall Classic from happening next door on Parcel 1 at Yards Park. Turnout was down because of the rain, but the synth-loving faithful who did show up embraced the music amid the massive amounts of mud. Sofi Tukker saved the day by performing an additional DJ set when it was announced that Christine and the Queens “declined to perform” 10 minutes before their set. (“We aren’t going to let you just stand out here for nothing,” said band member Tucker Halpern). Having outgrown Union Market’s Dock5, ATGFC did display a few growing pains at the new venue: very little cover from the rain for those outside the VIP section, nothing to help mitigate all the mud patrons had to slosh through, and, though a stone’s throw from a celebrated local brewery, beer options limited that were to Heineken and Heineken Light. But practice makes perfect, so it will be interesting to see what next year hold.
