Homestyle Indian restaurant Indigo Chapter 2 will open within the next two months, according to its owner Dinesh Tandon. Construction is finishing up at the Brookland outpost of Tandon’s original Indigo restaurant located on K Street NE.

Indigo Chapter 2 replaces Serendipity Jazz Coffeehouse at 3301-3305 12th St. NE.

Many know the NoMa location for its blackboard menu, comforting curries, wide array of vegetarian options, and relaxed outdoor tiki-like bar. The Brookland location will bring other things to the table, including an expanded menu of grilled meats and vegetables.

“We are also making a full bar, so we’re focused on the bar menu, which will have more grilled food,” Tandon says.

The restaurant will have about 80 seats inside and an additional 20 to 25 seats outside.
