The D.C. restaurant community is working to raise as much money as possible for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Many businesses are donating a portion of sales today through Labor Day weekend. Consider the following fundraisers as you make your weekend dining plans. New restaurants are expected to sign up for the city-wide fundraiser, so continue to check here and here for updated participant lists. 

Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington’s “Dine Out for Houston”

Date: Aug. 31

How they’re helping: More than 10 large D.C.-area restaurant groups will donate from between 1 and 5 percent of their proceeds today. Participants include all José Andrés restaurants save for minibar and barmini; all Busboys and Poets locations; all Neighborhood Restaurant Group restaurants (Hazel, Iron Gate, Evening Star Cafe, ChurchKey, Bluejacket, and more); all Michael Schlow restaurants (The Riggsby, Alta Strada City Vista, Conosci, and more); and all Ben’s Chili Bowl locations. DC Brau and Boundary Stone’s “D.C. Food and Beverage Give to Harvey Relief”

Date: Sept. 2

How they’re helping: DC Brau, which kicked the fundraiser off, will donate 100 percent of sales on Saturday. Others will contribute anywhere from 10 to 100 percent of their sales. Participants include All-Purpose Pizzeria, Ivy & Coney, ANXO Cidery & Tasting Room, 3 Stars Brewing taproom, Port City Brewing taproom, DC9, Brookland’s Finest, The Salt Line, Cantina Marina, Sushi Taro, all D.C. locations of CAVA, Ghibellina, La Puerta Verde, and DGS Delicatessen. See the complete list and make online donations here.

Black Restaurant Group (Pearl Dive, Black Jack, BlackSalt, Republic, Addie’s, and more)

Dates: Aug. 31–Sept. 14

How they’re helping: The Black Family Foundation will match dollar-for-dollar donations up to $100,000. Donate online through the Black Family Foundation. 

PRG Restaurant Group (LINCOLN, Teddy & The Bully Bar & Declaration)

Dates: Sept. 2–4

How they’re helping: Donating a portion of sales, plus there will be donation boxes on site. 

Mike Isabella Concepts (Arroz, G By Mike Isabella, Graffiato, Kapnos, Pepita, Requin, Yona, and more)

Dates: Aug. 31–Sept. 1

How they’re helping: $1 of every cocktail sold will go to relief efforts.

Fabio Trabocchi Restaurants (Fiola, Casa Luca, Fiola Mare, Sfoglina) 

Dates: Aug. 31–Sept. 2

How they’re helping:  $1 for every cocktail sold will go to relief efforts.

The Tryst Trading Company (Tryst, The Diner, Open City, The Coupe, and more) 

Date: Aug. 31

How they’re helping: Donating one percent of sales today in addition to accepting and matching donations placed in donation boxes.  

Additionally, here are what other restaurants have planned:

Agua 301 will donate 15 percent of all sales on Sept. 3. 

Himitsu will donate 100 percent of its profits on Sept. 3 and Sept. 4. 

Cuba Libre is donating $1 off every cocktail made with Tito’s Vodka starting Sept. 1 and Tito’s Vodka will match the donation. 

Martin’s Tavern will donate a portion of their sales to relief efforts on Sept. 2. 

Del Frisco’s Grille and Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse will donate 20 percent of sales from Aug. 31 through Sept. 4. 

Hill Country BBQ Penn Quarter is throwing a “Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fundraiser” on Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. Proceeds from raffle tickets and 50 percent of proceeds from select menu items, including drinks, will go to relief efforts. They’ll also accept monetary donations on site.

RareSweets will donate a portion of sales on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

One Eight Distilling will donate $1 from every punch cocktail sold and $5 from every bottle sold on Sept. 2. 

Penn Commons will offer a special cocktail on Sept. 3. Five dollars from the $10 drink will go to relief efforts.

Rebellion is hosting a fundraiser on Sept. 4. (4-10 p.m.) A $20 donation gets you a wristband that makes you eligible for food and drink specials.

Taco Bamba (Falls Church & Vienna) will donate a percentage of proceeds from each brisket taco sold from Sept. 2 to Sept. 9. 

Chase the Submarine will donate a portion of sales from Aug. 31 through Sept. 4.

Ford’s Fish Shack (Ashburn/Lansdown/South Riding) will donate a portion of sales from now through Sept. 4. 

The Daily Dish, A Restaurant & Catering Company will donate a portion of sales from their Texas Wine Dinner on Oct. 9.
