Tributes continue to pour in for late News4 anchor and consummate Washingtonian Jim Vance. Today and tomorrow you can eat a steak in a strip club in his honor. Camelot Showbar’s “The Vance” special consists of a center-cut New York strip steak with cognac cream sauce, herbed potato mashers, and asparagus for $16.95.
Vance long heralded Camelot’s steak as the best in the District. So much so that at Tuesday’s memorial service at the National Cathedral, Today Show anchor Craig Melvin recounted when Vance invited him to join him for a meal at the M Street NW nudie bar.
The mention at the memorial service prompted the nearly 40-year-old strip club to sling the steak special. Management jokes that they don’t usually divulge their clients names, but they’re making an exception for Vance.
