From small beginnings as a Ba Da Bing Records intern, where her lo-fi recordings led to a record deal, Katie Von Schleicher has made the most of her opportunities. Shitty Hits, the follow-up to those early recordings, is bold and clear, a louder, more complex record that retains its edge. To capture her vision, Von Schleicher returned to her childhood home of Pasadena, Md. to record some of the album.
