There’s still time to nominate local icons for Best of D.C.
Last summer SAX Restaurant and Lounge said, “You know what D.C. needs? A male burlesque brunch.” And poof, Washingtonians could eat eggs alongside oiled up men writhing on poles. On Nov. 1, the supper club is one-upping itself on its quest to make D.C. a little less uptight about sex with the launch of FETISH on Wednesday nights (cough, hump day, cough).
A cast of 20 women called “Beauties” will put on a show said to be a hot and steamy provocative theatrical experience. And we believe them because there’s something called a “Shower Lounge.” Sax says it features a fully functional LED-lit shower. “Our VIP guests and high rollers will be escorted into this private area that plays on your sense of illusion with an array of ‘Shower Beauties.’”
The doors to FETISH shows open at 8 p.m. The first hour is for ordering cocktails from bottle service hosts called “table beauties,” then it’s on to the two-hour show starting at 9 p.m. A full food menu is available. Dishes span from king crab mac and cheese ($15) and seared scallops ($33) to Wagyu beef steak frites ($34).
Woah boy. SAX says, “Due to the high intensity of the show, no standing room is allowed.” General reservations require guests to purchase at least $50 worth of food and drink per person at the table while “High Rollers” must reach a $75 per person minimum by the end of the night. These “High Rollers” have the clearest line of sight into the Shower Lounge.
A credit card is required to make a reservation.
