Success! You're on the list.

For those who were bummed out when they didn’t spot any D.C. chefs in the cast of this season of Top Chef, slated to kick off Dec. 7, there’s still hope. Two veterans of the show, Kwame Onwuachi and Jennifer Carroll, will compete on an offshoot of the cooking competition called Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen for a chance to return to the show, according to Bravo.

Carroll mysteriously pulled out of her partnership with Mike Isabella Concepts in October, just months before Requin opened at The Wharf. The seafood restaurant was billed as her baby for quite some time. Could Carroll have excused herself for some time on the small screen?

Meanwhile, Onwuachi licked his wounds following the closure of The Shaw Bijou after a run of only four months. He’s rebounded with great fanfare with his new restaurant, Kith & Kin, at The Wharf, steps from where Requin is located.

Carroll and Onwuachi will duke it out against Marcel Vigneron (Season 2 and Season 8: All Stars) and Lee Anne Wong (Season 1). The four veterans will compete against each other and members of the new cast as they are eliminated from the main competition. This season takes place in Colorado.
