Hummus shop Little Sesame is opening in its new digs on Aug. 28. The eatery from Nick Wiseman, David Wiseman, and Ronen Tenne got its start in the basement of DGS Delicatessen before taking a hiatus while the team searched for a new and improved home.
Both the menu and the design of the space at 1828 L St. NW were inspired by the hummus shops in Israel. Nick Wiseman, Tenne, and Edit Lab by Streetsense designer Brian Miller took a trip there last year.
Asked if the L Street NW location is the first of many Little Sesame restaurants to come, Nick Wiseman told City Paper in March: “We’re excited to have one and get to cook again for D.C. People have been super excited about what we’ve been doing.”
The hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Soon they’ll add Saturday hours from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
