We’re 21 days into a new year and 31 days into the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, so it’s the perfect time to write down all of the questions you have about life in D.C. and send them to your friendly neighborhood alt-weekly. As City Paper has done for the past seven years, we’ll consider all submitted inquiries—concerning any number of subjects—and attempt to answer as many as we can.
We can’t tell you when the government will reopen or what lasting damage the shutdown has done to our collective democracy, of course, but we can tell you how to pronounce confusing street names, why many homes in Takoma have concrete ponds in their backyards, and where to meet single, straight guys in their 30s.
Let the questioning begin! You can also ask a question on our podcast by leaving a voicemail at (202) 681-9756.
