DC Brau plans to quench the thirst of local hard seltzer guzzlers. The local brewery’s “Full Transparency” line debuting this month comes in four flavors: mango, black cherry, raspberry limeade, and passionfruit orange guava.
Starting Saturday, a limited amount of the seltzers will be available to try at the brewery located at 3178 Bladensburg Road NE. After Thanksgiving, DC Brau will begin wider distribution.
Once the Full Transparency seltzers hit shelves, the12-oz cans will be available in both single-flavor six packs and mixed variety 12-packs.
Like national brands Truly and White Claw, each can of Full Transparency comes in at around 100 calories and 5 percent ABV.
DC Brau is striking when the market is white hot. According to UBS, the hard seltzer category could grow to be a $2.5 billion beverage category by 2021. It’s currently worth $550 million.
