Amanda joined City Paper in 2019 after years-long stints at ThinkProgress and PBS NewsHour, where she reported on health care. As the City Desk reporter, Amanda covers everything from housing cooperatives to school closures to homicides. She is also responsible for writing District Line Daily, a late morning newsletter about local news and culture. Right now Amanda is interested in covering the rippling effects of the coronavirus pandemic. And when she’s not reporting, Amanda is probably biking around.
